Kevin’s professional career has focused on human service positions primarily helping others achieve life goals and reach their full potential.
He was President and CEO of Choices and Changes Youth Services, Inc. (CCYS), in Kentucky for seven years. As President/CEO, he provided leadership and direction to the agency on a daily basis. Before CCYS, Kevin worked at Ramey-Estep Homes as the Residential Director, where he was involved in the intake, placement and day to day activities of almost 200 youth who were in the program. Kevin has also worked at Ashland Community and Technical College as Assistant Dean of Minority Affairs. In that position he interacted with students on a regular basis and was often invited to speak to students about success principles.
Kevin has spent much of his life working with individuals, helping them to better themselves and achieve their goals. He has been a keynote speaker for many events and has been a motivational speaker for students and adults alike. He has also spoken at churches, youth groups, colleges and other venues encouraging people to harness their potential.
He attended Mt. San Jacinto Jr. College, a small community college in California, where he received his AS degree in behavioral sciences. Upon graduation he received a scholarship to Marshall University to play football. He received his BA in psychology and went on to get his MA in counseling from Marshall University. Kevin is now pursuing his PhD in psychology from Capella University and hopes to continue some cutting edge research in Post Traumatic Stress Disorders suffered by American veterans of recent wars.
Kevin has been married to his wife, Susan, for almost 20 years and they have 4 wonderful children, a daughter and 3 sons. He loves hanging out with his family. Whether it is watching movies, hiking or swimming it is always an enjoyable time. Kevin also enjoys cooking and grilling out and does it for his family whenever he gets a chance.
